Built by a former federal immigration business interface representative and program manager for ELIS software development, with firsthand experience in government workflows, legal technology, quality control, training, and high-volume legal operations.
USCIS began its Transformation Program to move immigration processing from fragmented paper and legacy systems toward a connected electronic environment. Public oversight reports later documented major cost escalation, schedule delays, architectural replacement, contractor-management challenges, testing weaknesses, and functionality that had to be rebuilt.
Oravanti founder Olga Kanaris worked inside the USCIS operational and technology environment shaped by that program. She saw how requirements moved between operational teams, technology teams, contractors, field personnel, training functions, and decision-makers—and how information, accountability, and system consistency could be lost between them.
That experience is now part of Oravanti’s foundation.
